- Little Red Hen Page
- Thursday sentences from brown paper bag (please precut these sentences into individual words)

Click the video below and watch along with your child.
Continue playing with these new words for 2 to 3 minutes. Then, as your child reads them to you one final time, write any NEW words on the third page of their Word Journal.
Ask them to read to you from their Word Journal.
- Math – 15 minutes
- Tens Place Value Cards (10, 40, 70, etc)
- Blue Hundreds Chart
- Optional: Place Value Cards
When the lesson ends, review the “regular names” of each ten with your child as they count from 10 to 100 on their abacus – count up with them, starting with “ten, twenty, thirty, etc.”
Then help your child fill out numbers 41 – 60 on their Hundreds Chart. Please use the place value cards if your child is struggling to visualize the numbers. Start with the 40 card and lay the 1 card on top of the 0, making the number 41. Continue from there up to 60.
Please keep your child Hundreds Chart so they may finish it next Wednesday. You may send a picture of it to Ms. Neuder when it is complete.
- Dance – Shabbat Shalom – 5 – 10 minutes

If you want an extra challenge, try it along to this song! Warning: it’s pretty fast!

Send Ms. Neuder a video if you have not already!
Recitation Tip: If your child is getting antsy, let them try to act out the nursery rhyme while you read it. They will be learning it, even if their body is moving!
- Geography – Model of My Room – 15 minutes
- Blocks, Legos, or other household items
Prompt your student to build a model of their bedroom out of blocks, Legos or other household items. You may want to do one too, or do one of your own room.
Have your student get a small toy that can walk around in their map. Using their small toy, ask them to give you a tour of their model room. Older students can make a more elaborate model with more details or can do a model of several rooms or even of their own house.
Here is an example of a classroom model made out of wooden blocks:
Upload a picture of your child’s model to The Mighty Network!
- Literature – 15 minutes
We have finished The Classic Adventures of Brer Rabbit! Find a good book to read this afternoon or evening before bed.
Happy end of Week 8, Kinder families. One more week to go!
As always, reading with your child in the evenings is a great way to grow their mental word bank and fluency, and they may want to show their Math Card Deck to a parent or sibling after dinner!
If you find yourselves with more free time, please refer to our Additional Resources page for some great websites to explore.
See you next week for School Day #103!
